Autograph letter signed from James Spedding, London, to Furnivall [manuscript], 1874 March 20.

Spedding does not want his last letter to be printed since he believes that the issue should be much better and more carefully set forth if it is to be subject to public criticism. Also speaks of creating a chronology of Shakespeare's plays and his hesitation to join Furnivall's Society [New Shakespeare Society].

2 leaves ; 19 x 12 cm.
